The Creative Equity Toolkit is a free resource for anyone working in the creative industries to take action to increase cultural diversity.
It is relevant to arts, screen and cultural organisations, government bodies, philanthropic organisations, policymakers, academics, researchers, educators, board members, activists, creatives and artists, and secondary and tertiary students and teachers.
The toolkit focuses on improving ethno-cultural and migrant racial equity in the arts, cultural and creative industries. It offers valuable information on matters of cultural competency, specifically regarding:
- Anti-racism
- Cultural consultation
- Programming and commissioning
- Policy
Under each topic there’s a bank of resources, research, case studies, articles and tools designed to help users put change-making actions into practice.
An initiative of the British Council and Diversity Arts Australia, the toolkit is supported through Creative Victoria’s Diversity and Inclusion Program.
