This project is an Australian Research Council Linkage project undertaken by the Queensland University of Technology and the University of Newcastle, in partnership with Creative Victoria, Arts Queensland, Create NSW, Arts South Australia and the Western Australian Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.

This project examines twenty “creative hotspots” with institutions and practitioners, with the aim of understanding what constitutes a “hotspot” and the commonalities and differences between regions.

Victorian reports are available for Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong & the Surf Coast, and Wodonga.

The project also delivers national and state economic/employment tables for the creative industries.
