Turning up the volume on Victorian music

30 October 2026

The latest rounds of the Music Works and 10,000 Gigs: The Victorian Gig Fund programs are delivering more than $2.9 million in grants for artists, music businesses and venues across Victoria.

10,000 Gigs: The Victorian Gig Fund will fire up stages at 134 venues throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria, supporting paid gigs by local artists and giving audiences more great live music close to home.

Recipients include iconic pubs and music venues like The Tote, JazzLab and Miscellania, regional venues like Castlemaine’s Bridge Hotel and Geelong’s Barwon Club Hotel and unique venues like Bendigo’s Trash Cult record store and Beechworth Bakery.

With this latest round, the program hits a massive milestone - supporting 10,000 gigs over four years. This means more work for local musicians, bigger audiences for venues and more unforgettable nights out for Victorians.

The Music Works program will back 130 projects, supporting Victorian artists and music industry professionals to create and release new work, tour, increase access, build careers and businesses and reach audiences in Victoria and beyond.

Recipients in this round include established talent like Baker Boy and Julia Jacklin, and rising stars like Delivery and daine. Richmond’s iconic Bakehouse Studios will use its grant to support Victorian musicians from underrepresented communities with access to space, equipment and resources.

The 2026 rounds of Music Works and 10,000 Gigs: The Victorian Gig Fund have been delivered by Music Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Government. A full list of recipients can be found at:
