Artists, creative workers and small businesses across Mount Alexander Shire will have access to free, tailored business development opportunities in June as part of a new partnership between Creative Victoria and Business Victoria.

Creative Victoria has teamed up with Business Victoria to deliver bespoke sessions for creative businesses at the Mount Alexander Shire Micro and Small Business Day on Friday 27 June.
A tailored workshop will provide creative businesses with practical advice and tips on generating cash flow, while the Small Business Bus will be on site to offer one-on-one mentoring sessions for creative businesses with an adviser with creative industries experience.
As part of the creative stream on the day, Mount Alexander Shire is also presenting a panel on the fundamentals of running a successful creative enterprise, and a guided tour of visual arts businesses at The Mill.
Mount Alexander Shire is a hub of creative industries activity, with a large concentration of creative workers and businesses. This program is designed to help them develop important skills and knowledge that will enable them to sustain and grow their creative practice, and set them up for future success.
These sessions at the Mount Alexander Shire Micro and Small Business Day will be the first in-person professional development events presented by Creative Victoria in collaboration with Business Victoria, and follow a series of booked out on-line workshops for Victorian creative businesses being held throughout June.
These professional development opportunities are part of Creative Exchange, Creative Victoria’s professional development program, which focuses on the business of being a creative.
