An action of the Victorian Government’s creative industries strategy, Creative State 2028, is to establish a Creative Industries Children and Young People Advisory Council to inform Government on initiatives that increase participation and promote the benefits of creativity for young people.
The establishment of this Council provides members with an opportunity to provide advice and share their perspectives as they relate to children and young people in the creative sector.
The Council will be made up of 10 members:
- 4 diverse young creatives with lived experience aged 16 to 25 years
- 6 sector experts with lived experience working in the creative sector with children and young people.
The application period will close at 3pm Sunday, 1 November 2026 for activity to commence in 2027.
For more information on the recruitment process, application streams, eligibility and assessment criteria, please download the Council Guidelines, below.
Please note, the Victorian Government will enter caretaker period on 3 November, until a new government is formed.
