The EOI process is open to people from across the state with a passion for the creative sector and relevant experience to contribute to these boards. This includes a wide range of skills including financial management, corporate governance, strategic planning, legal, sponsorship, communications and marketing.
People do not need to have experience working for an arts organisation or in the creative industries to express interest.
As part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to ensuring that government boards reflect the rich diversity of the Victorian community, the EOI process welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people of all ages including young people aged 18-34 years, women, people with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, LGBTIQA+ people, and rural and regional Victorians.
You can nominate a particular board, or boards, that you are interested in, or you can join the pool more broadly. As vacancies arise, Creative Victoria will review the pool to consider suitable candidates for appointment.
If you are selected as a potential candidate for a position, Creative Victoria will contact you and interviews and referee checks may be conducted for shortlisted candidates. Recommendations for appointments are then made to the Minister for Creative Industries.
Information about the EOI process and a position description for board roles are now available on the Victorian Government’s Join a Public Board website.
EOIs close at 11:59pm, 8 October 2025.
