Live music events are also planned for Echuca, Tallarook, Mooroopna, Euroa and Rochester, as part of the Victorian Government’s $1 million program to stage live music events in flood-impacted communities.

Vika & Linda will take to the stage at The Prince in Seymour on Saturday, 27 May with support from Wallan-based country rock singer-songwriter Kaitlyn Thomas.

The Live Music for Flood Recovery Program, which kicked off last year, has held concerts in Shepparton, Kerang and North Wangaratta – ranging from small gigs in pubs with local musicians, to large-scale festivals, big headline acts and community events.

This weekend, the free and youth-focused Summerwave on Tour will delight music fans in Wedderburn, Boort and Cohuna. The lineup includes Kitty Rae, Ivy Black, Amy Tie and Colour Court, curated by FReeZA.

There’s also a free family festival in Murchison on 3 June, Greg Champion will take to the stage in Kerang on 4 June, and more events to come in Echuca, Euroa, Tallarook, Mooroopna and Rochester.

Delivered by Music Victoria, in collaboration with local communities, the program is providing a much-needed boost for local live music venues, supporting local businesses, generating tourism and bringing the very best Victorian performers to flood impacted areas.
