Claire Febey, Chief Executive, Creative Victoria

Claire joined Creative Victoria in February 2022, bringing extensive expertise in public policy, strategy and community service delivery to this role. With qualifications in photography, communications and public policy, Claire has held senior positions at the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR), the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) and not-for-profit organisations such as Save the Children Australia.

Prior to her role at Creative Victoria, Claire was the Associate Deputy Secretary, Tourism and Events at the former DJPR, (now known as the Department of Skills, Industry and Regions), where she supported Victoria’s recovery and growth through tourism, events and the visitor economy. She has also led significant initiatives, including a review of regional tourism in Victoria and supporting bushfire-affected communities post the 2019-2020 Black Summer bushfires, and devastating fires of Black Saturday in 2009.
