To help keep Victoria’s world-famous music scene pumping, the Victorian Government has appointed a new music advisory council made up of industry experts – from artists to venue operators, promoters, publishers, managers and other industry leaders.
The Victorian Music Industry Advisory Council will provide expert advice and will be a forum for collaboration between industry, government and the community, sharing new ideas and identifying opportunities for Victorian artists and industry workers to thrive into the future.
Chaired by Managing Director of independent music publisher Concord Australia, and APRA AMCOS board member, Jaime Gough, the 14-member council has representatives from across the music industry:

- Music academic Dr Rod Davies
- Bridge Hotel, Castlemaine, owner Jeremy Furze
- Co-Founder, Untitled Group, Nicholas Greco
- Hutch Collective, baked - Artist Manager & Creative Producer Larissa Hume (Wamba Wemba & Dhudhuroa)
- Alternative rock singer/songwriter Alex Lahey
- Creative Director of Shepparton’s JL Productions & Hire Jamie Lea
- Artist manager and booking agent Shelley Liu
- Chinese/Australian composer and performer Mindy Meng Wang
