2016 Census data records 12,876 Victorians employed as Visual arts and craft professionals as their main job, such as painters, sculptors, photographers and jewellers, 3,116 of these were in non-cultural or creative industries.
49,380 Victorians were employed as design workers in a variety of areas, including architectural services, advertising, fashion, illustration and web design. 17,817 of these were in non-cultural or creative industries.
