Regional audiences can expect the best live theatre, music and cultural events up ahead, with the latest round of the Victorian Government’s Touring Victoria program now open for applications.
The program supports performers, creatives and arts organisations to tour their shows, exhibitions and events across regional and outer-metropolitan Victoria.
Grants of between $10,000 and $250,000 are available for tours by Victorian arts and cultural organisations and creatives.
The most recent round of grants supported regional tours from such diverse acts as singer Kutcha Edwards, all-female circus-comedy show Trash Test Dummies, The Australian Ballet, Finucane and Smith and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
As well as ensuring arts and culture fans in regional and rural locations have access to the best productions, performances and exhibitions, Touring Victoria supports the careers of local artists connecting them with a wider audience. Touring productions also provide a boost to local economies.
The 2022 round of the program will support touring activity that hits the road from 1 November 2022.
For more information including program guidelines, eligibility and how to apply, on the Touring Victorian Program page.
Applications close on 14 July 2022.
