As Victoria’s creative sector continues to open up, adapt to the new operating environment and recover from the impacts of the pandemic, retaining, rebuilding and reaching new audiences – in new ways – is critical.

Creative Victoria has launched the Building Audiences Fund to help Victoria’s independent creatives, small organisations and businesses build their audiences through innovative marketing in the face of the ongoing impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The fund will support the development and implementation of new marketing initiatives and different approaches to engage audiences, build awareness and increase income avenues.

Grants of between $2,000 and $20,000 are available to independent professional creatives and small organisations and businesses (fewer than 10 employees) in Victoria, working in any creative sector.

Activities supported can include any new marketing activities that you have not previously undertaken.  For example, you could implement an integrated e-commerce and promotional strategy, market to new audience demographics or promote creative content in ways you have not previously tried.

Creative Victoria’s Building Audiences Toolkit is also available  to help you understand your current audience, identify gaps and plan strategies to expand your reach.

The Building Audiences Fund opens closes at 5pm on 25 February 2021.
