The program will see the internationally acclaimed, Sydney-based company stage an annual season at Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre, including performances, workshops, education programs and community activities

The residency kicked off in Bendigo last weekend with performances of the company’s award-winning production Bennelong. The show will also travel to Geelong and Warragul this year.

As part of the agreement Bangarra will bring international presenters and producers to Bendigo, introducing them to local arts organisations and showcasing the region and its creative industries.

Bangarra is Australia’s only Indigenous major performing arts company. The announcement coincides with the company's 30th anniversary year and strengthens its commitment to spending more time in Victoria.
