Created by Geelong-based Back to Back Theatre company, the play premiered in 2011 and has been performed in 35 cities worldwide including New York, Berlin, Paris, Tokyo and Buenos Aires.

In an Australian first, Back to Back’s ensemble of actors with intellectual disabilities will not only star in the film, they will also co-author the script. In the long term, the feature is set to be filmed in Geelong in collaboration with some of Australia’s best screen talents, in front and behind the cameras.

In addition to the Ganesh project and several international projects this year, the back to Back team is also working to expand their TV pilot Oddlands into a full television series while rehearsing their latest production, The Shadow Whose Prey the Hunter Becomes, which premieres in Sydney next month before showing in Geelong and at Melbourne International Arts Festival.
