White Night 2017

The three-day event will celebrate the city’s unique creative and cultural offerings, with a strong focus on live music, as well as design, film, food, performance and street art.

The event will incorporate the hugely successful White Night Melbourne, which will be relocated from its existing February timeslot and greatly expanded, cementing Melbourne’s reputation as a vibrant, 24-hour city.

Melbourne’s best will be on show at the mid-year extravaganza, with longer nights in winter giving artists more hours to light up the city and earlier start times making the event more accessible to families.

The announcement coincided with Bendigo’s first ever White Night event which saw more than 60,000 people descend on the regional city to enjoy spectacular projections, performances and more.

The first iteration of the three-day Melbourne event will be held in August 2019. Timing and program details will be released next year.
