Thanks to Film Victoria and LuckyChap production company, Sarah Freeman, whose producing credits include television comedy drama Mustangs FC, will head to L.A in 2019 to undertake a professional placement within the LuckyChap team.

During her time there she will gain experience developing independent films, finding financing opportunities, drafting pitches and learning to navigate the Hollywood studio system.

Founded by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara, LuckyChap continues to build on the success of I, Tonya with a number of films in the pipeline and a newly-created television division.

Sarah is one of 16 local screen industry practitioners supported to undertake career-boosting opportunities through Film Victoria’s professional placement program over the last six months.
