6 March 2018

This week Melbourne plays host to 31 international design, games and music leaders from Hong Kong, India and Latin America as part of the Victorian Government’s Victoria Invitation Program – a trade-mission style program that aims to build strategic business connections between Victoria and key markets across the globe.

The international delegates will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience of Victoria’s robust creative industries, and to make connections with local creatives and creative businesses.

Delegates will undertake a program of activities including meetings with key Victorian creative practitioners, visits to creative and cultural organisations and the opportunity to experience runways by local designers at Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival and gigs at Victorian venues.

Three members of the delegate with speak at a special Creative Exchange event on 7 March which will explore ways to create local events that have a global impact. Find out more.

This delegation is part of a wider program of over 100 leaders and decision-makers from across the globe come to Melbourne to meet with Victoria's business delegates from a range of key industry sectors.

Building international engagement is a key action of the Creative State strategy and this delegation is one of a number of Creative Victoria activities that seek to build global creative connections, touring opportunities and exports for Victoria’s creative industries.
