One of the biggest and most exciting jobs in Australian performing arts, the role presents an exciting opportunity to positively impact the sector for years to come and bring lasting benefit and income to Victoria’s leading artists and companies.

Supported by the Australia Council for the Arts and Creative Victoria, the APAM office will work year-round with events and festivals across the country to promote Australian performing arts to the world.

Establishing and leading this office will be a big job – it will require an extraordinary individual, well connected and respected, with runs on the board in market development and event production.

Following a competitive national tender process run by the Australia Council for the Arts, Victoria was named the next APAM host for 2020-2024.

In addition to the biennial industry gathering, the reinvigorated APAM program will include an additional year-round program of activity designed to strengthen international touring opportunities.

Between 3-5 staff members will work year-round to broker international partnerships and touring opportunities for Australian artists and companies from the APAM Office in Melbourne.

Applications for the role of Director, APAM Office close COB Friday 15 June, 2018.
