Applications are now open for Groundwork, a new residency program at Women's Circus for artists with a physical disability.

Are you a female artist with a body-based creative practice such as circus, dance or physical theatre? Do you have a physical disability? Do you need time and space and support to further your creative practice and develop new work? Do you want to be financially and creatively supported to do so? Are you interested in contributing to community conversations around inclusivity and creativity?

Groundwork provides a supported residency for a female artist with a physical disability as well as a program of masterclasses, workshops and discussions to stimulate broader conversations around inclusive practice.

The Groundwork residency will run for two weeks in April 2017 (dates TBC) at The Drill Hall in West Footscray. It includes a $2000 stipend for the selected artist and a further $1000 to support any related access costs.

Women's Circus is fully wheelchair accessible including carpark, ramp and toilets.

Applications for the Groundwork residency close on Monday 6 March.
