Business of Design Week is a showcase of global design talent, brands and innovation, attracting over 100,000 attendees from around the world each year.

Hong Kong Business of Design Week 2017 will take place from 4-9 December. The Victorian Design Trade Mission will give local designers and design-led businesses the opportunity to showcase their products, projects and services to potential buyers, stockists, partners and media representatives from across the globe. Participants will take part in program of events, meetings and activities designed to strengthen global business connections and create new export opportunities.

Before setting off, participating companies will also receive specialist market entry training and advice from Asialink Business which is part of the University of Melbourne.

Support is available for 25 Victorian design businesses to be part of the Trade Mission. Support of $2,000 per company is available towards the cost of airfares, ground transport and accommodation in Hong Kong.

Eligible companies will be based in Victoria; have been operating profitably for a minimum of two years, with a gross annual income of at least $500,000 in the previous financial year, and be export ready.

Applications, submitted via the Creative Victoria grants portal, will close on 13 September 2017.
