Applications are now open for the $20,000 Natalie Miller Fellowship, which aims to promote women as leaders within the Australian screen industry.

The Natalie Miller Fellowship is open to any woman already working in the Australian screen industry, who has the potential to inspire and provide leadership in her field.

The Fellowship encourages applications from women working in production, exhibition, broadcast, distribution and post-production services, who are seeking financial assistance to pursue professional development through attachments, internships, secondments, travel, and other means.

The successful applicant in 2016 will receive a grant of up to $20,000 for a program of development in their field that will deliver significant benefits to the applicant and the wider Australian screen community.

There are no restrictions on what proposals can be submitted, though script development and screen production investment proposals are not eligible. Applicants are encouraged to be innovative, daring and ambitious in designing a proposal.

The professional development program must be undertaken in the 2017 calendar year.

Applications close Friday 26 August 2016.
