The Creative Neighbourhood Infrastructure Support Program provides one-off grants for infrastructure upgrades that support secure and accessible workspaces for creative use.
The Creative Neighbourhood Infrastructure Support Program is open to micro to medium sized creative organisations and businesses, creative individuals and collectives as well as non-creative businesses and community organisations. (See ‘Who can apply’ below.)
Grants will support small to medium capital works, digital infrastructure upgrades, equipment purchases and installation.
The program aims to support creative enterprises and practitioners to:
- Achieve more viable creative practice
- Access new revenue opportunities
- Broaden their engagement with audiences
Funding available
This program has three streams:
- First Peoples stream— Applications led by First Peoples or First Peoples-led organisations can be made for projects between $5,000 and $150,000 for capital and infrastructure upgrades, equipment purchases and installation and will be assessed by a First Peoples assessment panel.
- Small grants stream – Grants between $5,000 and $74,999 are available to support minor capital or digital infrastructure upgrades , equipment purchases and installation. Applications will be assessed by creative industries experts.
- Large grants stream — Grants between $75,000 and $150,000 are available to support small to medium scale capital or digital infrastructure upgrades including equipment purchases and installation. Applications will be assessed by creative industries experts.
Who can apply
The program accepts applications from individuals, organisations and collectives, including partnerships with creatives, social enterprises, not-for-profit organisations, community organisations. Applicants must have an ABN registered in Victoria. Applicants must also meet Creative Victoria’s General Eligibility.
The project must involve or benefit Victorian-based creative practitioners, creative organisations and businesses and/or creative collectives.
The program will not accept applications from:
- State-owned cultural agencies and organisations (except where acting as an auspice body).
- Applicants with an overdue Creative Victoria (or former Arts Victoria) acquittal.
- State government departments and agencies
- Local Government Authorities
Key dates
Round Opens: Thursday 28 April, 2022
Round Closes: 3pm, Thursday 2 June 2022
For activities commencing from 1 August 2022.
It takes approximately 12 weeks from the closing dates until funding outcomes are available.
