The Diversity and Inclusion program seeks to address barriers to participation by underrepresented groups in Victoria's creative industries.
The Diversity and Inclusion Program is an action of the Victorian Government's Creative State strategy that seeks to address barriers to participation by underrepresented groups in Victoria's creative industries - as audiences, practitioners, board members, workers and leaders. The program has a specific focus on people with a disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and people with cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
There are three elements to the Diversity and Inclusion Program:
Talent Matters will support creative industry organisations to design and deliver a career and/or professional development program targeted at creative practitioners and/or administrators. Programs could include industry placements, mentoring, paid internships and tailored workshops.
Creative Victoria will engage an external service provider to design and deliver diversity and inclusion capacity building programs in 2018 and 2019 within funded Creative Victoria organisations. This includes the State-owned Creative Industries Portfolio Agencies (CIPAs), Major Performing Arts (MPA) and Organisations Investment Program (OIP) clients, and other Creative Victoria multiyear funded organisations in the design, screen and games sectors.
Arts Access Victoria - NDIS Transition Package
Creative Victoria will provide direct support to Arts Access Victoria (AAV) to implement a range of capacity building initiatives over 2018 and 2019 to assist the creative industries engagement with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
