Melbourne and Olympic Parks NH Architecture
The Melbourne and Olympic Parks precinct is key to Melbourne’s global reputation for major sports and entertainment events. It is the home of the Australian Open, one of the world’s four Grand Slam tennis tournaments.
The Stage 3 Masterplan develops iconic facilities in a manner that strengthens connections within and across the broader precinct, by knitting together a complex and varied precinct that operates in multiple modes.
Understanding the complex inter-relationship between back-of-house facilities and public areas has been a major factor in developing the design. Given the precinct’s strategic position with Melbourne’s Yarra River corridor and the adjacent public parklands, the Masterplan required engagement with both city and state planning authorities.
