Sport shoe

L-TKD RMIT University

L-TKD is a new type of Taekwondo footwear that provides enhanced functionality for professional Taekwondo players. All design modelling and manufacturing was achieved through advanced processes that challenge traditional methods of sporting footwear design. The sole of the footwear is 3D-printed and utilises a lattice and Voronoi (partitioning of a plane with points into convex polygons) structure in the midsole to achieve a more dynamic design. The midsole has varying surface thickness to allow for variation in foot distribution mapping to give additional functionality to the user.
