Born in Melbourne, Linda Jackson is an Australian fashion designer and artist. She studied fashion, design and photography in Melbourne before honing her craft overseas. Upon returning to Australia, she established the Flamingo Park boutique in Sydney’s Strand Arcade with Jenny Kee in 1972, and created the Bush Couture and Bush Kids labels.

She has also exhibited as a painter and photographer, discovering and documenting the Australian landscape in myriad ways, revealing a colourful and unique passion for telling the stories of her travels and translating her inspiration through artworks. Awards and recognition include Life Fellow at the Powerhouse Museum, Women of Style Fashion Award, Australia Council Fellowship and being appointed as the Lightning Ridge Opal Ambassador. Her work has been widely exhibited in private and public galleries and Linda’s archives are in the collections of the National Gallery of Australia, Powerhouse Museum, National Gallery of Victoria and Art Gallery of SA. In 2018 Linda was honoured as an Officer in the Order of Australia
