Presented annually by the Hong Kong Design Centre since 2002, the Hong Kong Business of Design Week is Asia’s flagship design industry event.
The five-day conference features a stellar program of over 70 leading design speakers from across the globe. Previous speakers have included: Tim Brown IDEO; Charles Adler, Kickstarter co-founder; Ross Lovegrove, Lovegrove UK; Mario Bellini, Mario Bellini Architects; and Winy Maas, MVRDV Holland.
The program explores the latest trends in brands & innovation, communications design, product and service design, architecture, urban design and more. Previous brands represented have included: Absolut, Airbnb, Alessi, BMW, Braun, Camper, Coca Cola, FC Barcelona, Georg Jensen, IKEA, Lamborghini, Lego, Moleskine and Samsung, to name a few.
Hong Kong Business of Design Week is run in parallel with a range of other design events including DesignInspire, a major three-day public design exhibition and trade show at the Hong Kong Conference & Exhibition Centre; the BoDW CityProg; community program deTour; Brand Asia Forum; and the DFA Awards. During the week, Hong Kong hosts around 130,000 delegates from more than 30 countries.
Hong Kong Business of Design Week attracts an audience from design and non-design firms, start-ups, SMEs, multi-national corporations, entrepreneurs, innovators, policy makers, industry and professional associations, and design educators.
