Questions and answers for the Creative Industries
Is Creative Victoria open? How have Creative Victoria’s operations been impacted?
Creative Victoria is open to assist you, with staff working remotely. Creative Victoria has a Business Continuity Plan in place to ensure that we can continue to support and communicate with the sector through this situation, deliver programs and make payments.
What is Creative Victoria doing to support the sector in the wake of coronavirus?
Creative Victoria has launched two new funds to assist creative practitioners and organisations: Sustaining Creative Workers Initiative for the independent sector and the Strategic Investment Fund for multi-year funded, non-government arts and cultural organisations.
These new initiatives are in addition to almost $1.6 million of project grants just announced through our regular programs, which have focused on supporting activities that can take place under the current restrictions.
The new funding available for multi-year funded organisations is in addition to their annual operational funding which is secure until the end of 2021, regardless of closures, event cancellations and changes to programs.
Given these extraordinary circumstances, we are being as flexible as possible with reporting requirements and with changes to projects, programs and timelines.
Creative Victoria’s support measures are in addition to wider government economic packages, which are also open to businesses and individuals in the creative sector.
What’s happening with Creative Victoria’s funding programs?
Creative Victoria’s funding programs have continued with some modifications where possible in the circumstances, especially in relation to support for international travel and public gatherings.
We note that some projects may need to change given the current public health measures. We will accept changes to deliverables, KPIs and delivery platforms. Please contact program staff to discuss your project.
