In an Australian first, La Sonnambula  was recorded earlier this year at Arts Centre Melbourne.

Launched in 2015, The Opera Platform was created by Opera Europa, a peak body for opera companies and festivals across 43 different countries.

Conducted by Victorian Opera's Artistic Director Richard Mills, La Sonnambula saw the return of star soprano Jessica Pratt alongside the Australian premiere of Italian bass Paolo Pecchioli. Tenor Carlos E. Bárcenas continued his long association with the company while much-loved Australian soprano Greta Bradman made her Victorian Opera debut.

Audiences worldwide will have the opportunity to experience the glory of the performance from today until Tuesday 31 October.

Victorian Opera will continue its digital adventures on 27 October when audiences will be invited into the rehearsal room as the company develops three new commissioned works that will be presented as part of its 2019 season.
