8 June 2017

A new arts festival is coming up this winter, Due West: Immersive Arts Festival will be held across Melbourne's inner west from 10-27 August 2017.

Due West: Immersive Arts Festival

Encouraging locals and visitors to immerse themselves in the area's artistic offering, Due West will include performances, workshops, visual arts, music and dance featuring local creatives, organisations and venues.

The Victorian Government's funding contribution of $85,000, through Creative Victoria, matches the City of Maribyrnong's investment in the new event which will celebrate and showcase the area's creative strengths.

Led by the City of Maribyrnong, the new festival will be delivered by local creative agency The Background.

Artists, organisations and groups who are interested in participating in the festival are invited to complete an 'Expression of Interest' by Friday 16 June 2017.

The full festival program will be announced in July.
