GPAC redevelopment vision

Funded by the Victorian Government with additional philanthropic support, this major redevelopment focuses on the Ryrie Street side of the complex and will deliver a modern arts facility complete with a stunning façade, new accessible entrance, two new foyers, rehearsal studios and additional space for creative practitioners and organisations.

Hosting hundreds of performances each year and attracting more than 200,000 visitors annually, the Geelong Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) is a major hub for performing arts in regional Victoria.

The GPAC Ryrie Street Redevelopment will create more than 100 jobs during construction and once complete will offer new opportunities for local artists and community groups, while attracting the best performances from around the globe.

Procurement is underway for a builder with four shortlisted firms being considered, and works are expected to kick off on the site in the coming months.
