Local artists are encouraged to apply to be part of an exciting new public art project bound for the Hurstbridge train line.

Part of the Level Crossing Removal Authority’s Hurstbridge Rail Line Upgrade, the selected work/s will contribute to the revitalisation of public spaces and bring creativity to the daily commute.

Artists, of all career stages, are invited to submit an expression of interest (EOI) for the design of a public art work. The total budget for the project is $150,000 with three potential sites in Rosanna, Heidelberg and Fairfield to act as canvases. . Following the EOI process, a shortlist of artists will be selected to participate in the concept development phase with one or multiple proposals to be selected for final artwork creation. Both shortlisted and selected artists will receive fees.
