Creative practitioners, the Victorian Government is developing a new funding program specifically for you and we'd like your help ironing out the details.

A key action of Creative State, Victoria's first creative industries strategy, the Creators Fund will offer opportunities for creative practitioners to undertake sustained periods of intensive creative development, research and experimentation.

It responds to one of strongest themes that emerged from the extensive consultation carried out for the strategy, and is part of a commitment to backing Victoria's creative talent. It also fills a critical gap in the current funding landscape.

Open to creative practitioners from different disciplines and who are at varied stages of their careers – emerging, mid-career and established – the fund will enable individuals to:

  • deepen their professional practice;
  • research and develop significant works, and
  • advance their careers.

To better understand parameters around time needed to undertake this work and other ways the program may assist, we want to hear from creative practitioners.

If you fit the bill, please take a moment to complete the short survey below.

The Creators Fund will be open for applications later this year.

The survey is now closed. We received over 500 responses which will inform the development of the Creators Fund program. Use the links in the footer of this page to subscribe to our eNews or follow our social channels to get updates on the Creators Fund along with news from our creative state.
