The Women Sculptors Initiative has been launched online via the Australia Council Cultural Fund website. Money raised will help female artists create works for the 2018 Lorne Sculpture Biennale.

Sculpture is an expensive field of practice and women sculptors often experience difficulty accessing the same materials and resources as their male counterparts, this initiative aims to increase gender parity among the festival participants.

The Lorne Sculpture Biennale runs from 17 March to 2 April 2018.
