Victoria's acclaimed Speak Percussion will offer a new year-long fellowship to an outstanding female Victorian-based composer in 2017.
Supported by Creative Victoria, the Bespoke Fellowship will be built around a mentorship with Liza Lim, a Melbourne-based composer who has worked extensively across Australia, Europe, China and the Americas.
It will involve the creation of a new work to be performed and recorded by Speak Percussion.
The Fellowship will be tailored to the specific needs and the chosen creative investigation of the recipient, in consultation with Speak Percussion and Liza Lim. A stipend will be provided to support the work.
In addition to a biography, applicants are asked to provide two works/compositions as scores or recordings, with some evidence of experience writing for percussion.
Applications are due by midnight on Sunday 15 January 2017.
