Several new members have been recently appointed by the State Government to the ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) Board, including award-winning actor and director, Rachel Griffiths, and business and technology consultant, Karen Corry.

Retiring members Ricci Swart, Sebastian Costello and Andrew Ranger also made way for three new ACMI Board appointments in late 2015: Surgeon and philanthropist Dr Terry Wu, arts leader and Director of Regional Arts Victoria Esther Anatolitis, and Assistant National Secretary of the Australian Services Union, Linda White.

The new appointments complete an eleven member team, including ACMI Board President Peter Lewinsky, Annette Allison, Jan Chapman (AO), Des Clark, Joel Pearlman and Michael Wachtel.

ACMI is currently undergoing significant changes with a refreshed strategy under Director and CEO Katrina Sedgwick.

The organisation attracted 1.4 million visitors in the 2015 calendar year. It also recently revealed plans for ACMI X, a 60 seat co-working space for the creative industries, which will form part of Melbourne's Southbank arts precinct.
