The 2017 and 2018 festivals will be delivered by Mind Blowing Films, a Melbourne-based a film production and distribution company which specialises in Indian films.

The annual festival showcases the best cinema from the Indian Subcontinent – inclusive of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. An opportunity for cross-cultural exchange, IFFM brings filmmakers, dancers and the world's biggest screen stars to Victoria.

Film Victoria CEO Jenni Tosi says, "Film Victoria is delighted to continue its support of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in bringing its unique energy to the people of Melbourne, and strengthening ties with the Indian community."

This year's festival included more than 50 films in 17 languages and saw around 26,000 people attend a range of free live events in Melbourne and Dandenong that aimed to strengthen the bond and understanding between the communities of Australia and India.
