Now in its fourth year, Geelong After Dark is a major event on the regional arts calendar, drawing crowds of up to 15,000 for an evening of pop-up performances, mini-exhibitions and installations.

The 2017 edition of Geelong After Dark will be held on Friday 5 May 2017.

Artists and arts organisations are invited to submit proposals for short performances and installations to be located across the Geelong city centre, responding to the 2017 festival theme, 'The Sound of Light'.

Successful projects will receive funding in one of three categories.

The 2017 categories include:

  • * Category 1: $200 - $500 (up to 25 projects will be selected)
  • * Category 2: $1500 - $2000 (up to 5 projects will be selected)
  • * Category 3: $3000 - $5000 (up to 3 projects will be selected)

Geelong After Dark is a project of the City of Greater Geelong produced by the Arts and Culture Department in partnership with Diversitat as the Creative Producer.

Artist applications close 30 January 2017.
