Melbourne architectural firm March Studio has been awarded the 'World Interior of the Year' for 2015 at the INSIDE - World Festival of Interiors in Singapore.

The award-winning interior was designed for the Hotel Hotel project, a contemporary hotel in Canberra.  Graduated timber lines the walls and ceiling of the  foyer, creating a dramatic tunnelling effect that leads guests from reception through to the hotel proper.

March Studio's Hotel Hotel design beat over 100 nominees across nine categories to be named the best global interior of the past twelve months.

The judges described the project as a "masterful integration of different spaces into a seamless and delightful interior."

March Studio's practice includes designing interiors for Aesop stores around Australia and internationally, with boutiques in Zurich, Paris, New York and Geneva. Locally, they have designed interiors for the Made Establishment restaurants including Press Club, Hellenic Republic, Gazi and Mastic.

The Studio also created an installation for the Melbourne Now exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria in 2013.
