Culture Victoria, the website that acts as a gateway to Victoria's cultural collections and organisations, has expanded its search functionality to include the collection database of the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and the state archives at the Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) through its wiki.

The Culture Victoria Collections Search functionality allows users to simultaneously canvas the databases of every major culture agency and over 300 professional and community collections.

Until recently, the PROV wiki and NGV databases were excluded from Culture Victoria's search functionality, but they have now been added, vastly expanding the breadth of research that can be conducted through the site.

In addition to its Collections Search functionality, Culture Victoria showcases our rich cultural history through the Stories section of the site.

Stories gives users access to thousands of images and hundreds of videos, while presenting fascinating insights into little known corners of Victorian culture.

Recent additions to Stories include:

MacRobertson's Confectionery Factory - The story of Macpherson Robertson and his factory founded in Fitzroy in 1880.

Migrants Enriching Australia - Two migrants and their stories of making Australia home.

Craft in Context  - An invaluable resource for anyone interested in exploring Victoria's rich culture and craft history.
