Background

    The inaugural Regional Centre for Culture in 2018 will be held in one of Victoria's key regional cultural hubs, encompassing the City of Greater Bendigo, Mount Alexander Shire, Central Goldfields Shire and Hepburn Shire.  The Traditional Owners of this land are the Dja Dja Wurrung people and the Taungurung people.

    There are two grant programs available as part of the Regional Centre for Culture:  Regional Centre for Culture - Local Grants and Regional Centre for Culture Commissions.

    Regional Centre for Culture - Local Grants

    The Regional Centre for Culture 2018 Local Grants program is a one-off grant round to fund local creative projects which will take place in the designated Regional Centre for Culture area in 2018.  It provides a unique opportunity for local practitioners, groups and organisations to extend their practice, profile their work and meet their creative aspirations.

    Funding is available from $1,500 - $30,000.

    Regional Centre for Culture Commissions

    Regional Centre for Cultural 2018 Commissions is a one-off program that will support the development of three significant new works inspired by the designated region as part of the Regional Centre for Culture program in 2018.

    Three grants of $260,000 are available.
