The Creators Fund supports creative practitioners and collectives across all disciplines, and at all career stages, to undertake an extended period of creative development, research or experimentation for new ideas and initiatives.
Opening for applications in August 2017, the Creators Fund will provide financial support in the realm of $20,000 - $50,000 to support three to six months of intensive work. Applicants will need to demonstrate how this time will assist in the production of a significant work or will support their career advancement.

Funding is available to support:
- Creative research and development
- Project experimentation and development
- Skill and practice development, including residencies.
Each applicant's funding level will vary based on their idea, creative practice and need. It is anticipated that financial support will be in the realm of $20,000 to $50,000 for between three to six months of activity.
Who can apply
The Creators Fund is targeted at individual creative practitioners and collectives of all disciplines, career stages and income levels. Aboriginal and diverse creative practitioners are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be residents of Victoria.
Round opens: 17 Aug 2017 using the Creative Victoria Grants Portal
Round closes: 5pm, 7 Sept 2017
For activity commencing after 1 Jan 2018. The period of sustained activity must occur within one year of the funding being confirmed.
