The Education Partnerships program supports collaborations between professional artists and Victorian schools. It supports partnerships to deliver strong artistic and learning outcomes.
The Education Partnerships program aims to:
- Enrich learning and teaching through partnerships with professional artists
- Contribute to the development of engaged, creative and confident students
- Enrich professional arts practice through partnerships with young people and school communities.
The program provides professional development, resources and, in partnership with the Department of Education and Training, the Artists in Schools program.
The Great Partnerships How-to-Guide provides a comprehensive resource on partnerships between schools and professional artists.
Artists in Schools supports primary and secondary schools to engage a professional artist to work with students and teachers on a creative project.
The Extended School Residencies program was a partnership between Creative Victoria and the Australia Council for the Arts through their Artists in Residence initiative.
Due to the recent discontinuation of the Australia Council's Artists in Residence initiative, Creative Victoria is not able to offer the Extended School Residences program for the 2016 school year.
