The Education Partnerships program supports collaborations between professional artists and Victorian schools. It supports partnerships to deliver strong artistic and learning outcomes.
The Education Partnerships program aims to:
- Enrich learning and teaching through partnerships with professional artists
- Contribute to the development of engaged, creative and confident students
- Enrich professional arts practice through partnerships with young people and school communities.
The program provides professional development, resources and, in partnership with the Department of Education and Training, the Artists in Schools program.
The Great Partnerships How-to-Guide provides a comprehensive resource on partnerships between schools and professional artists.
Artists in Schools supports primary and secondary schools to engage a professional artist to work with students and teachers on a creative project.
The Virtual Creative Professionals in Schools (VCPS) Program 2016 is a pilot program designed to investigate innovative and effective delivery methods to enable partnerships between remote schools and creative professionals using new technologies.
This pilot program brokers and supports creative partnerships between creative professionals and arts organisations and Victorian schools.
The VCPS partnership projects are supported by the Education Partnerships Team at Creative Victoria and the Department of Education and Training’s (DET) Digital Learning and STEM Branch.
